Chet Inman Award 2004

The ASM Worcester Chapter held its annual awards night on April 14, 2004 at O'Connors Restaurant, 1160 W. Boylston St., Worcester. Codi Peters and Melani Thomas shared the honor this year.

Prof. Richard D. Sisson, Jr., ASM International Trustee, was the guest speaker. The subject of his talk was: QUENCHING-Understanding, Controlling and Optimizing the Process.

Codi Peters will be graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a concentration in Materials. She will be going on to serve in the military as an officer in the Navy. Her first assignment will be to serve on DDG 81 USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL and her "Ultimate" duty is nuclear engineering.

Melani Thomas will be graduating with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Material Science minor. In June, she will join the General Motors Metal Casting Operations in Saginaw, Michigan where she will start as a Supervisor-in-Training.
