"Use of Tomorrow's Photonics Devices Today" was the title of an article in Optics & Photonics News in October 2003. The article talked about pre-commercial devices for research and highlighted the Photonics Technology Access Program (PTAP) which was established in July 2002 by NSF and DARPA here at WPI with Ryszard Pryputniewicz. This program allows students in mechanical engineering here at WPI access to cutting-edge photonics devices.

The AIAA Technical Committee of Aerospace America included the water tunnel experiments that are being carried out by Hamid Johari and his students in it's December 2003 issue called "The Year in Review."

The May 19th Telegram & Gazette presented a full page color photo and write up about Chris Brown's student and his MQP project that proved the warmer the chocolate the better the taste.
